What’s On

The Hunter Coal Festival has confirmed three major events locked in for October 2020.

  • Friday, October 23 – Careers and Innovation Expo, TAFE NSW Muswellbrook

    October 23, 2020
  • Mining Leader’s Lunch

    October 30, 2020
  • Singleton Community Day

    October 31, 2020

Other events that will be celebrating our local miners and supporting the community are:

A-Plus Contracting Hunter Valley Mining Charity Rugby League Day – October 17, 2020 Pirtek Park, Dunolly Road, Singleton

  • The charity competition brings together over 400 coal mining employees from throughout the Hunter Valley and beyond to represent their respective mine sites. Each team competes in a 10s style competition until one team is crowned champion and presented with the Charity Shield.  The day also includes the ‘Women in Mining’ series. Apart from what is ‘state of origin’ worthy rugby league action, there is always plenty of excitement, entertainment and fun for all spectators including young fans with jumping castles, amusement rides, face painting and giveaways throughout the day. The event is this perfect for the family or a social get together with friends to enjoy plenty of action and entertainment. This event is as an annual fundraising event for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
